Gators Will Have To Dig Deep To Watch Title Game

MIAMI (CBS4) ― If you're planning to cheer the University of Florida Gators on to victory at the BCS championship game, it's going to cost you.

Tickets for the game between No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Oklahoma are selling way above face value, not a big surprise there.

According to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald, the average price for a single ticketĀ is $771 dollars, which is actually less than last year when Ohio State played LSU. Those tickets went for an average of $13-hundred.

Most tickets for the BCS national championship game have a face value of $295. Student tickets are $175. They're being sold through a lottery system.

The game will be played January 8th at Dolphin Stadium.
