Former South Florida anchorman and current CNN news anchor Rick Sanchez is coming back to Miami but just for a day. Sanchez will host his CNN news program Tuesday from the FIU campus in West Miami-Dade.

CNN Newsroom Live will go live from the Graham Center Pit at 3:00 p.m. There will be live audience participation. Those who would like to attend are asked to arrive by 2:30 p.m.

Sanchez is expected to interview FIU Athletic Director Pete Garcia and FIU'S new head basketball coach Isiah Thomas.

Sanchez is in South Florida promoting CNN's "Latino in America" project, which highlights the contributions of Americans of Hispanic ancestry. Sanchez will participate in a panel discussion after a sneak preview of the documentary at the Miramar Cultural Center on Tuesday evening.
