Lauderdale Lakes Carvel Store Robbed

The Robbery Occurred On Sept. 22nd

3600 West Commercial Boulevard

LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBS4) ― A man ordered a milkshake to go and then robbed the popular ice cream store Carvel in Lauderdale Lakes last month, but fortunately he was caught on surveillance tape.

The unidentified man was armed with a handgun, which he pointed to the cashier and demanded money. The two employees, who complied with the robber's requests, were the only ones in the store at the time and were not injured.

The robber fled the ice cream store located at 3600 West Commercial Boulevard with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen heading on Commercial Boulevard in a newer model 2008 or 2009 dark blue or black Nissan Altima.

The employees described the suspect as a black male about 5'8 to 6 ft tall and could be in his early 20's with a clean shave and short hair. He was wearing a white short sleeved T-shirt with the Wonder Bread logo and the words words "Get Bread" on the front.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call BSO Robbery Detective Brian Walker at (954) 321-4270 or call Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.
