The mother of a missing 2-year-old Orlando girl is trying again to get released from jail as investigators search for the child.
A bond hearing is scheduled Tuesday afternoon for Casey Anthony. The 22-year-old mother reported her daughter missing last week, more than a month after the little girl allegedly disappeared.
Casey told detectives that she dropped her daughter off a babysitter's apartment on June 9th but hadn't seen her since.
The charging affidavit says the mother didn't call authorities immediately because she was conducting her own investigation. The affidavit also stated, however, that the apartment she allegedly dropped the girl off at hadn't been occupied in months and Anthony gave detectives a bogus employer, manager's name and work telephone number.
Anthony faces charges of child endangerment, making false officials statements and obstructing a criminal investigation.
She was denied bail at a hearing last week. Investigators say Anthony has done nothing but lie to them, but the woman's attorney says she's been cooperating.
Anthony's mother called for her release so she can help authorities find Caylee
On Friday, authorities used cadaver-sniffing dogs to search in the back yard of the home of Casey Anthony's mother.
"Just because we're here with cadaver dogs doesn't mean we're giving up, that Caylee's not alive," said Sheriff's Sgt. John Allen Allen, head of the missing persons and child abuse unit. "We're running the investigation in several different directions."
Authorities are looking into the family's claims that Casey Anthony received a mysterious call from her daughter last Tuesday.
