Canadian Sexual Predator Nabbed In Miami Beach

Whiteside Is Wanted Globally On Sexual Predator-Type Crimes

MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ― A 53-year-old Canadian man was arrested on Thursday on charges he traveled to Miami Beach in order to engage in sexual activities with what he thought was a 10-year-old girl. 

Law enforcement said its investigation of Chris Whiteside began in February of 2008, when he reportedly began to transmit child pornography via the Internet.

Detectives said that charges against him range from transmission of pornography by electronic device; computer pornography; traveling to meet a minor; and sexual performance by a child.
