3 Suspects Have Been Taken Into Custody

Others Still On The Loose

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― Three men were taken into police custody Friday morning following a Comp USA burglary in Fort Lauderdale, but several other suspects remain on the loose.

Fort Lauderdale Police Sgt. Frank Sousa says the computer store crooks used a Chevy Tahoe with a chain attached to it to pull out a front window of the store, located at 1740 N. Federal Highway before 6:00 a.m. As many as three vehicles may have been involved.

An off-duty officer, who was across the street, heard a loud noise coming from the 1700 block of N. Federal Highway and witnessed the Chevy Tahoe exit the Comp USA parking lot with a chain attached to the back of the vehicle. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle was unable to do so.

Shortly after, police received a call from a woman who reported that three suspicious men were in her backyard with gloves on. Police captured the three men in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Court. A portion of the stolen merchandise was inside their vehicle.

The suspects have been identified as Noah Jean, 20, Lenelle Lebrun, 20 and Journel Louis, 24, all from Miami.
