Gators, Sooners Unite For The Sake Of Partying

A First For Everything

Game Is Being Held At Dolphin Stadium

MIAMI GARDENS (CBS4) ― Among all the fans, we witnessed Sonner fans sharing a tent with Gator fans.

"Something I've never seen before," said CBS4's Jorge Estevez as he approached a tent with both fans. We are the best of friends," said both couples, who have been friends for years.

The friendship is deeper than orange and blue or crimson and cream.

"It"s great to be a florida gators," chanted one couple as the other fought back with the Sooner chant.

Throughout the parking lot, it was a sea of Gators with dots of Sooners sprinkled throughout. And our couple made a promise: If one team looses they would buy the other dinner.

"We'll support them," said the Gator fan to the Sonners.

This tailgate was full of classy Gators decked out in their gear and their spirit. Our cameras even caught one woman sipping champagne from a glass.

Not bad for a Thursday afternoon outside the BCS Championship game.
