Miami Bids To Host IX Gay Games
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Miami is among the top five cities being considered to host the Gay Games IX in 2014.
Boston, Cleveland, and Washington D.C. are all cities that have expressed interest in the United States, but a total of 14 cities worldwide have also expressed interest. The announcement came at the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) annual meeting in Cape Town, Africa.
The FGG Assembly will pick the host city at its 2009 annual meeting in Cologne, Germany next October.
The Gay Games VIII will be held July 31 - August 7, 2010 in Cologne, Germany.
Previous Gay Games have been held in San Francisco, Vancouver, Canada, New York, and Amsterdam, Sydney, Australia and Chicago.
