Geyser Erupts In Broward After Water Main Break

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) ― A Deerfield Beach intersection looked a lot more like Yellowstone National Park Monday morning when a water main break resembled Old Faithful.

Old Faithful is a water geyser and that's exactly what erupted on a street corner at Northeast 3rd Avenue and 48th Street after work crews broke through a water main.

Video from Chopper 4 shows the huge water geyser and also work crews nearby working feverishly to turn off the water spout.

Eventually the torrent of water was brought under control and damage to the line repaired.   A cement truck was brought in to fill the hole left by the guyser.
