A three year-old girl died the Friday after Thanksgiving drowning in a community pool in Hollywood.

Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to the home at 2000 Monroe St. Friday afternoon regarding the girl who was pulled from the pool and taken into an apartment in that area. She had apparently been in the water for about 15 minutes.

Rescuers took her to Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police have not said how the girl made her way to the pool in the first place.
