Teenager Dies In North Dade Go-Kart Accident

NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ― A 13-year-old boy died Monday evening after crashing with a sports utility vehicle while driving a go-kart in Northeast Miami-Dade.

According to Miami-Dade Police, the go-kart was heading eastbound on 199th Street, and a man driving a Dodge Durango was heading westbound on the same street. They both crashed at NE 11th Avenue, and the boy had to be taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died.

The driver of the SUV is not being cited for the crash. Police have not released their names.
