Miami-Dade To Give Free H1N1 Vaccinations On Wed.

The Miami-Dade County Health Department will be offering two H1N1 vaccination sites on Wednesday and the vaccines are free.
The free vaccines will be given Wednesday, November 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at two locations.
The first is at the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center located at 10901 Coral Way in the Fuchs Pavilion.
The second location is at the Miami-Dade County Health Department's Downtown Miami Clinic, located at 1350 NW 14th Street.
There have been more than 500 confirmed cases of the H1N1 Flu in Florida.
The Health Department wants people who are part of the CDC's recommended priority group to take advantage of this opportunity to receive a free H1N1 vaccine.
The CDC recommended priority groups are as follows:
- pregnant women
- people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
- healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
- persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old, and
- people ages of 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for 2009 H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems
All other Miami-Dade County Health Department Clinics will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2009; H1N1 vaccines will only be offered at the Miami-Dade County Health Department Downtown Clinic and the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center.
