DORAL (CBS4) ― Jaclyn Torrealba has become the latest face of domestic violence in South Florida. She was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, a local DJ named Juan Carlos Portieles. Torrealba was allegedly beaten severely and bitten, before Portieles allegedly drove her body around in his car for more than 12 hours. Torreabla's family hopes her death can somehow help other women in need.

"Please listen to your parents. Don't be alone with strangers. Your parents give you good advice. Take this lesson. There are really bad people out there," said Dr. Vilma Castro, the mother of the victim.

The Torrealba family said Portieles had been seducing their daughter for two years. Pablo Torrealba even hired an attorney to demand the DJ leave his daughter alone.

"We never agreed to that relationship. He was not her boyfriend. I never even met him," Pablo Torrealba said.

Early Sunday, Jaclyn left club space in Downtown Miami before she and Portieles allegedly got into a violent argument. Police say Portieles wrapped his hands around the girl's neck and killed her. Police say he then drove around with her body strapped in the passenger seat. He eventually turned himself into Miami-Dade Police headquarters.

When Portieles appeared in bond court on Tuesday, there was evidence of a fight. Portieles' hands were bandaged and his eye was bashed in. Pablo Torrealba said his daughter looked far worse. "No one deserves what my daughter got," said Pablo Torrealba.

Portieles was ordered to be held without bond on Tuesday.
