Jumping Shark Caught On Camera Behind 2 Surfers

NEW SMYRNA BEACH (CBS4) ― A Florida photographer captured some shots that are so amazing, some are questioning whether they're even real.

On July third, Kem McNair was taking pictures of two surfers at New Smyrna Beach when a shark supposedly jumped out of the water behind them.

Bloggers who have seen the photos online think they're fake, but McNair claims 20 surfers witnessed the shark jump out of the water.

The Florida Program for Shark Research says the shark in the picture is a Black Tip Shark. The director of the program says Black Tip Sharks jump out of the water as they are spinning in order to catch fish.

The program also says it will use McNair's photos as the covershot for a study they are doing on sharks.
