The Miami Democrat will make stops from Pensacola to Key West to start the effort.
Meek said, "For us to win this race, we have to run a nontraditional campaign. It will not be a textbook campaign."
Martinez is a Republican; Meek is a Democrat and hopes to be the first Democratic candidate to get on the ballot. Congressman Connie Mack, on the Republican side said he will not longer be seeking that seat.
