Sex Offender Accused Of Having Sex With Teen Girls

WILTON MANORS (CBS4) ― A Ft. Lauderdale man is behind bars after he allegedly had sex with two sixteen year old girls.

Larry Nelson, 49, was taken into custody Wednesday night and charged with six counts of lewd and lascivious on a child under 16 and one count of violation of probation. Nelson, a registered sex offender for a previous offense in Broward in 2006, is being held without bond.

Police initiated the investigation into Nelson after they learned that he had arranged to meet the two girls at a Wilton Manors motel Tuesday night for a sexual encounter. Nelson, who arranged the meeting over the Internet, had previously met with the two girls on four or five occasions since March, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

On the last occasion, one of the teens used a cell phone to record Nelson and the girl having sex without Nelsons knowledge.

Wednesday night FDLE agents seized several computer towers, routers and modems from Nelsons home. Police say he could face additional charges based on what they find on the seized items.
