Florida's two-day lobster mini-season is officially over but not before four divers died in the waters off South Florida.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office says one man was diving near Peck Lake Park Thursday when he returned to his boat and lost consciousness. His brother called for help, but the man later died at the hospital.
A Wellington man who had been spear-fishing was found face-down near Marathon Key Thursday, but the Monroe County Sheriff's Office says he was not diving for lobsters.
Two other diving deaths were reported Wednesday.
Police say a 48-year-old man from Sarasota was found dead off Haulover Beach in Miami. A 36-year-old Winter Beach man died after diving near the Sebastian Inlet in Brevard County.
Five people died during last year's mini season.
