Woman On Tracks Stalls Metrorail Service

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Hundreds of people were stranded at a Miami Metrorail station Thursday afternoon when a woman became trapped under a Metrorail train.

The incident took place at the Coconut Grove Metrorail station located at 2780 SW 27th Avenue. 

Video from Chopper 4 shows paramedics rolling the woman out on a stretcher, her head covered with a white sheet, and placing her into an ambulance. She was reportedly alert and talking to paramedics.

Hundreds of passengers were seen milling around the station, unable to travel to their intended destinations until authorities start up the train again.

According to Miami Dade Police, a preliminary investigation shows this was a failed suicide attempt.
