Real "Dolphins" Featured In Cheerleader Calendar

This Is The 13th Annual Dolphin Cheerleaders Calendar Shoot

Location: Discovery Cove in Orlando

ORLANDO (CBS4) ― The Miami Dolphins cheerleaders are heating up Central Florida with their annual swimsuit calendar photo shoot.

The ladies are even getting up close and personal with some Dolphins off the field and we're not talking about football players but real Bottlenose Dolphins at the Discovery Cove in Orlando. 

"I walked into the water and warmed up to him and he came up to me and I got to almost touch them which is really cool. Not a lot of people get to do that so I feel very fortunate," said Ashton the cheerleader.

"We are thrilled with the opportunity to incorporate live dolphins in the Dolphins Cheerleaders 2009 Swimsuit Calendar," Miami Dolphins Senior Director of Entertainment Dorie Grogan said. "It is a perfect match."

The weeklong shoot will include stops at Sea World, Aquatica and the Renaissance Sea World Resort. In addition to shooting the calendar, the ladies will be making public appearances at a variety of Orlando locations.

This is the 13th Annual Swimsuit Calendar Shoot.
