Dolphins camp was buzzing Wednesday with two new developments, first with the announcement of quarterback John Beck starting in Sunday's game and second, Ricky Williams getting permission to return to the NFL.
The developments couldn't have come at a better time, as the Dolphins 0-9 season has left them as the only team in the NFL without a win.
At this point fans are saying that any change is a good change. John Beck will be running the show against Philadelphia Sunday, but will he be able to run with the big boys?
Most fans are saying there is no harm in trying.
"I always like the underdog and I want him to actually kick butt, take names, at least get us to winning games. One would be fun," said fan hopeful George Brant.
Another fan said any change made would be good. "We need help. We are 0-9 and we don't want to be 0-10. We're at that time now that you just roll the dice and see what happens," said Hill Underwood another fan of the Dolphins.
And after a year away form the Dolphins and a season away in Europe, Ricky Williams is reinstated by the NFL, believed to be done with punishing the league with marijuana.
Fresh off of a summer of rehab in Boston, Williams's agent says he is ready. But, Coach Cameron wants to talk to Ricky face-to-face before making his decision.
And fans are saying hurry up.
"I think it's great. I think it's his time," said Underwood. "We need him badly."
"Everyone needs a second chance. Stop smoking dope, make the money. They need something," said Brant.
"They need some sort of smashing on the offense. The defense has been playing, their offense has been putting up points but not able to seal the deal. I think Ricky Williams could be that final element that they need to win one," said fan Andrew Pena.
With the locker room buzzing, and fans praying, the fins could finally have a chance at winning one. We'll just have to wait and see.
