Turnpike Accident Hurts 2, Snarls Traffic

Air Rescue was called to a rush hour accident on Florida's Turnpike in Kendall, after a car rolled over and injured two people inside.
Fire Rescue united were called to the accident to help get the victims out of the car so they could get medical care. A spokesman for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the injuries were serious enough to require air rescue. Two people were taken to Ryder Trauma Center.
The accident blocked all but one southbound lane of the Turnpike for almost an hour, until the heavily damaged car could be moved. The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident, which happened about 7:30 AM.
