"New Moon" Is Shining Bright Opening Night

DAVIE (CBS4) ― A "New Moon" is rising at midnight. Hundreds of fans, alive and "un-dead" alike, have been camped out at the Cinemark in Davie for tickets to the latest "Twilight" movie for hours.

In case you haven't read the best-selling books, here's a re-cap for you: Bella, a quiet, teenage girl moves to a small town in Washington, where she meets the mysterious and hunky Edward Cullen. You may have guessed, yes, Edward is a vampire, and yes, they fall hopelessly in love.

There's another leading man though: Jacob. He's a childhood friend of Bella's and he's also a werewolf (the mortal enemy of vampires.) It's a love triangle so powerful, that Twi-fans are picking teams: Team Edward and Team Jacob.

Some girls even go so far as to change their Facebook or Twitter name to support their guy. For example, a Team Edward Twilight-er would change her last name to "Cullen" on Facebook. Yes, this really does happen. Search on your Facebook page to see for yourself.

Now, if the books, movies and "teams" aren't enough for a tween fan, there are also products inspired by the series. Nordstrom has "Twilight" clothing and makeup even.

But all the girls in line outside the movie theater need is a ticket to send them over the moon.
