N. Miami Police Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

NORTH MIAMI (CBS4) ― Police who were looking for a man wanted for a home-invasion murder and sex assault this week found their man and shot him in North Miami Wednesday night.

Police approached the area of NE 119th Street and 16th Avenue looking for Oswain Walcott, when they say they became involved in a confrontation with him, forcing them to open fire. That's when he was shot and a woman who was in the area was injured. 

Fire rescue transported both to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where Walcott died. The woman who was with him is in critical condition.

Police have not revealed who the woman is.
