Community Rallies For Justice Against Police Abuse

4 Dead In 19 Days

NORTH MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) ―

The North Miami community rallied for justice on Saturday against police abuse.

Protesters said that four African American men were shot and killed in a matter of 19 days, Frisco Blackwood, Michael Knight, Roger Brown, and Garcia Beaugris.

The recent shooting happened in Little Haiti where Knight, 23, and Blackwood, 23, were shot dead by cops.

The rally was organized by the NAACP, the Miami Workers Center, Veye-Yo, the Haitian Grassroots Coalition, Haiti Solidarity Committee and others.

After the rally, protesters paid their last respect at the funerals for Knight and Blackwood.

Police are still investigating the Little Haiti incident.
