Operation 'Red Light' Targets Parlor Practices
27 People Arrested
18 For Prostition, 9 For Providing Unlicensed Massages
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ―
More than two dozen women throughout Broward County have been arrested for providing unlicensed massages and other illegal services including prostitution.
On Friday night, July 18th, BSO detectives took part in operation "Red Light" and raided 15 locations, mostly massage parlors, and arrested 27 people.
Eighteen women were charged with prostitution and 9 were charged with providing unlicensed massages.
Two of the women put out ads in local publications and provided the services out of their homes.
Melhua Jin and Lianji Wen, who appeared in bond court on Tuesday, were arrested last week inside the "Body Scrub" massage parlor in Hollywood. Both women were charged with operating a business without a license, lewdness and providing sexual services for clients.
Marvin Segura who runs a business next door to the "Body Scrub" was stunned by their arrests.
"She said it was a traditional Japanese massage parlor," said Segura, "she lied, she told me it was a legitimate business."

- Golden Eye (massage parlor), 135 SW 6 Street, Pompano Beach
- Roosters (massage parlor), 3685 N. Federal Hwy., Pompano Beach
- Booby Trap (adult entertainment), 2840 Hammondville Road, Pompano Beach
- Full Body Rub (massage parlor), 3685 N. Federal Hwy #103, Pompano Beach
- Full Body Rub by Sexy Blonde, 5820 Lakeside Dr. #1317, Margate
- Bada Bing (adult entertainment), 2001 N. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach
- Full Body Rub by Naughty Nurse, 3400 Spring Street #2, Pompano Beach
- Klassic Katz (massage parlor), 275 E. Prospect Rd., Oakland Park
- Angels Spa (massage parlor), 3107 Hallandale Bch Blvd. #103A, Pembroke Park
- Body Scrub (massage parlor), 4211 S. SR7, Hollywood
