Hialeah Home Depot Heist Suspect Turns Himself In

Police Have Charged 3 Men With Armed Robbery

Police Still Looking For One Other Suspect

HIALEAH (CBS4) ― Hialeah police have arrested a third suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Home Depot Store, which was caught on surveillance video. After the video was shown on local news stations, including CBS4, suspect Peter Binns turned himself in at the Miami Gardens Police Department.

Binns was transferred to the Hialeah Police Department and charged with Armed Robbery for his alleged involvement in the Home Depot heist which took place on May 8th, around 1:00 a.m. at the store located at 950 SE 12th Street.

Police are still looking for a fourth suspect, Craig Davis, who remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to investigators, three heavily armed suspects, one with a shotgun and the other two with handguns, entered the store through the lumber department's roll up door, while a fourth suspect waited outside in a getaway car.

The suspects tracked down the night manager and forced him, at gun point, to open up the money vault. The armed men then left the store through the same lumber department door with thousands of dollars in cash.

An alert Hialeah Police Officer spotted the getaway vehicle and pursued it into the Miami Gardens area. The suspects then abandoned their vehicle and ran from police on foot.

After an extensive investigation, Hialeah Robbery Detectives were able to identify all four suspects and arrest two of them.

Eugene Hicks and Anthony Thomas, both 23, were charged with Armed Robbery. Binns, who turned himself in Wednesday, has also been charged with Armed Robbery.

Davis is wanted on both an Armed Robbery Charge and also Attempted Murder.

If you have any information on his location, please call the Hialeah Police Department at (305) 687-2525 or call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 417-TIPS.
