PERRINE (CBS4) ― Sean Taylor's father is taking on the painful task of preparing his son's burial, all while he waited for word on the police investigation on Friday.

Pedro Taylor spoke to reporters in a press conference on Friday afternoon, and even though Miami-Dade Police told them they were following a lead on the case, they wouldn't go into details with him. Being the Chief of Florida City Police, Taylor understands the importance of not leaking out information during a murder investigation.

"They won't go into details because they don't want me to compromise their case, and I don't want to compromise the case either, because I want whatever took place—I want them to share that information," said Taylor. "I don't need to share any information because I was not there."

Taylor was confident police would divulge information when appropriate, and surely enough Friday night they confirmed that the four males they had in custody were the suspects.

"You don't prepare for it," he said. "Every time you have a child, you don't expect for them to go before you."

And dealing with the pain of losing a son appears to be Taylor's priority at the moment. Basketball players from South Miami High School visited him Friday night to give him their condolences, however Taylor did not comment to the media if he had heard the news and names of the arrested suspects.

Pedro Taylor said he was picking out a suit in which to bury him in.

CBS4 News cameras also caught video of a Jackie Garcia, Taylor's girlfriend and mother of his child, as she entered Pedro Taylor's home in Perrine. She didn't give statements to the media, but a steady stream of friends and family could be seen going into Pedro's home to visit them. Taylor and Garcia were high school sweethearts.

In the meantime Pedro Taylor says he's drawing his strength from God to keep pushing forward.
