Pit Bull Puppy Abused & Abandoned
TAMARAC (CBS4) ―
An injured and bloody dog, found abandoned on the side of a Broward road may have been the victim of an illegal dog fight.
The Alan Babcock Dog and Cat Rescue organization was called Tuesday morning after someone found the injured pit bull near Oakland Park Boulevard and Andrews Avenue.
According to a veterinarian at the Animal Wellness Clinic in Tamarac, the dog was being bred to fight and is suffering from injuries consistent with a dog fight.
The Alan Babcock Dog and Cat Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, abused and abandoned dogs and cats.
The pit bull puppy will be available for adoption once it recovers.
