Pompano: Plane's Landing Gear Collapses On Arrival

POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) ― A small plane had a rough landing after its landing gear collapsed in Pompano Beach Monday evening.

The Broward Sheriff's Office reported a 6-seater Beech 55 aircraft's landing gear collapsed after landing at the Pompano Air Park at about 5 p.m. Two people were onboard, but were able to get out safely. They didn't suffer injuries.

Fire rescue responded to the scene only as a precaution.

Officials are investigating the cause of the plane's failure.
