Wife Of Marlins Hero Gets Startled At Home
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
On the same day 23-year-old Robert Andino hit a home run for the Florida Marlins, defeating the New York Mets in the 10th inning, his wife said there was a slight disturbance at the home they rent in Kendale Lakes.
Andino, who was promoted from the minors on Sunday, said it might have been just someone making an innocent mistake. He received a text message from his wife that their Kendale Lakes rental property may have had an unintended visitor.
The Miami Southridge High School graduate was promoted from the minors after Alejandro De Aza went on the disabled list with an ankle sprain. He was the last player to make the Marlins' 25-member roster.
Michael Maulini, the baseball player's agent, told CBS4 Peter D'Oench that someone tried to make it into the house, but nothing appeared to be missing, and that no police charges will be filed.
