Ruby Princess Is Christened At Port Everglades

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) ― A new princess has arrived at Port Everglades; it's one new cruise ship that is getting all sorts of attention in South Florida. The Ruby Princess is the newest ship in the Princess fleet, and CBS4's Lisa Petrillo got a sneak peek.

And with so much hype the ship's christening on wouldn't be complete with a TV reality show couple present. Trista and Ryan Sutter celebrated their 5th anniversary by christening the Ruby Princess Thursday. The couple met in the primetime reality show The Bachelorette.

The ship features 951 feet of European inspired luxury, a three story lobby, several levels of dining and entertainment venues including a theater and a spa. The Princess carries 3,000 passengers.

She is heading for her first voyage for a select few Thursday night, as they take a VIP tour.

TV's Gavin Macleod will also be giving the bride away in a real life wedding set to take place Thursday night aboard the ship.

The Ruby Princess will then accommodate the general public on its first trip to the western Caribbean on Saturday.
