One Person In The SUV Was Hospitalized
HOLLYWOOD (CBS4) ―
Hollywood police are investigating a bad accident between a school bus and an SUV.
The two vehicles collided Monday morning at the intersection of Taft Street and 56th Avenue in Hollywood. In video shot by Chopper 4, the entire front end of the school bus is smashed in and the SUV is a mangled wreck.
Hollywood Fire Rescue officials say the school bus was at a red light when the SUV hit the front of the bus. The SUV landed on its side and hit a pole, which trapped the driver inside.
There were two students on the bus at the time of the accident. Neither was hurt. The bus was headed to New River Middle School.
The SUV driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and then taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in unknown condition.
