Radio producer Steve Brancik of the Paul and Young Ron morning show on Big 105.9 was arrested for alleged sexual behavior with a minor.
Brancik, 42, was charged with four felony counts of lewd or lascivious molestation involving a person 12 to 16 years old and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition.
According to a Hollywood Police report, over the span of two years Brancik intentionally touched or kissed a boy on four separate occasions; the first incident allegedly occurred when the boy was only 12-years old. In one incident, Brancik allegedly put his hands down the boy's shorts, kissed him and attempted to put his tongue in the boy's mouth. Some of the incidents reportedly happened at Brancik's home, while others occurred in the boy's home in Deerfield Beach.
When asked about Brancik's arrest, radio host Paul Castronovo issued the following statement.
"I'm thinking about possible victims and families and it's hard for me not to talk about things because I'm a talk show host. But because of legalities, I have no comment on the situation right now."
Brancik, who often makes appearances online and on the air during the show, declined to comment.
Following his arrest he was fired by the station's parent company Clear Channel Communications.
Station management only released the following statement: "I can confirm that he is no longer with the station. Beyond that, I have nothing else to share," said Brian Olson, President and Market Manager of Clear Channel in Miami.
