Sneak Peek: Bringing The Super Bowl To S. Fla.

MIAMI (CBS4) ― CBS4 is your Super Bowl station and although Super Bowl 44, which will be played in South Florida, is still months away, getting ready for the big game is no game at all.

A dedicated group of South Floridians has already been at work for two years, without any of the glitz and glamour one might expect.

"It's double wide," said David Silverstein as he pointed CBS4's Jorge Estevez toward the trailer the Super Bowl Host Committee works out of in the parking lot of Dolphin stadium. Those are the modest accommodations for the offices of Super Bowl 44.

A dozen people have been hard at work since the end of the last South Florida Super Bowl in 2007.

Their job is to have South Florida benefit from next year's Super Bowl 44 at Dolphin Stadium. The team headed by Mike Zimmer, President of the Super Bowl Host Committee, is in charge of getting volunteers, coordinating events and community outreach.

The goal is to have Super bowl 44 score big with dozens of events providing jobs which brings in hundreds of millions to South Florida.

In addition, they're planning even more family friendly events this year all across South Florida leading up to the big game which takes place on February 7, 2010.

When the game is over, the work doesn't end for the Super Bowl committee, they're already bidding to have the big game return to South Florida in 2013.
