Sean Taylor Posthumously Voted To Pro Bowl Team
NEW YORK (CBS4) ―
Three weeks after his murder, Sean Taylor has received a major honor. Pro Bowl voters have selected the slain Washington Redskins safety to this year's Pro Bowl. Taylor was voted to the starting safety position on the NFC team.
At the time of his death in his Palmetto Bay home on November 27th, Taylor was having an outstanding season and was one of the leading vote-getters among fans. Taylor died a day after being shot during a break-in at his home.
The honor was appreciated by Taylor's grieving teammates. Redskins safety Casey Rabach says the tribute "is well-deserved." He noted that the gesture "just shows the respect everybody around the league had for him and what a great player he was."
