SB Turnpike Shutdown In Tamarac After Truck Fire
TAMARAC (CBS4) ―
The southbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike are shutdown in Tamarac in the wake of a tractor trailer fire.
Chopper 4 was over the scene soon after the fire was doused and video shows the truck was completely charred.
The fire took place around 11:30 a.m. at Mile Mark 65, near the Pompano Beach service plaza.
It's not known how long the Turnpike will be shutdown.
Drivers heading south on the turnpike should take Exit 69 at Sample Road to avoid traffic, and drivers heading north should take Exit 62 at Commercial Boulevard.
