POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) ― An open casting call for the 14th edition of the CBS "The Amazing Race" reality series that pits two person teams of friends, couples or relatives against one another as they race through exotic locations around the world drew 500 people to Pompano Beach on Saturday.

Because the number of people who came out for the audition was so large, a Miami news radio station reported traffic advisories for the Festival Marketplace near Sample Road and the Turnpike where the casting was conducted.

People were lined up as early as Friday evening at the marketplace, where CBS4 photographers filmed audition videos that will be submitted to the show's producers.
