A new exhibit will be inaugurated in December at Miami's MetroZoo called "Amazon And Beyond", a 27-acre tropical phenomenon, where rain forests have been re-created and flooded with exotic habitat and indigenous wildlife.
CBS4 got a sneak peek behind the scenes. The experience is meant to give you an idea what it's like to live in the Amazon during rainy season.
Experts believe 20 percent of the world's available fresh water is contained there during that time. Workers at the zoo say the experience is about much more than just water.
If you want to check it out, you may want to put the exhibit on your Christmas vacation to-do list. The 27 acre, $50 million tropical exhibit will open that month.
