Three People Found Dead in Miami Apartment

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Still no word on what may have led to the deaths of three people discovered in a Hammocks apartment.

Miami Dade police said they received a 911 call from a resident of the Cabana Club Apartments at 197th Street and Southwest 100th Court. The caller, who police have not identified, said they were concerned about a relative who lived in the building they had not heard from in a while.  In checking the apartment, the three bodies were discovered.

Investigators suspect 73-year old Cornelio Sanchez shot and killed 54-year old Clara Sanchez and 76-year old Clara Herrera before turning the gun on himself.

"I'm being told this possibly may have something to do with a domestic related issue. But I don't have the exact relationships right now," Juan Villalba of the Miami-Dade Police Department said.

The gun used in the shooting was recovered from the apartment. Homicide investigators are still working on what may have led to the shooting deaths of the three victims.
