Boca Raton Man Injured After Boat Strikes Bridge
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) ―
A Boca Raton man navigating a boat was injured when his 20-foot vessel struck a bridge Friday afternoon causing a chunk of concrete to hit his head, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred on the open waters at about 1:20 p.m. off of 580 N. Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach, near Boca Raton.
BSO has said Boca Raton police would handle the investigation because the bridge is within their city limits. Another man who was onboard the boat was not injured, BSO said.
The pair was able to return to Marine One -- where the Boca Raton man was treated for his head injuries.
