Police: 3 Dead In SUV, Victims Of Murder-Suicide

SUV Found Parked At Metrorail Station Parking Lot

KENDALL (CBS4) ― Miami-Dade police are investigating the murder suicide of three people, including a toddler, whose bodies were found in an SUV at a Metrorail station parking lot.

The Miami-Dade Police Department says a security guard discovered the bodies of 29-year old Bill Poveda, his girlfriend 29-year old Judith Paul, and her 2-year old daughter Ava Paul, Sunday night in an SUV which was parked at the Dadeland South Metrorail station, located at 9150 Dadeland Boulevard.

Homicide detectives say all three had been shot and they're calling it a domestic related murder-suicide.

"Never imagined this happening," Ava's godfather Kenyarda Scott told CBS4 Reporter Sharrie Williams, "We're like, 'How?'"

Family members say the couple had split up, but remained cordial for Ava's sake.  The baby went back and forth between homes as they tried to share responsibilities of raising the little girl.

"She was a beacon of light to the family," Scott said of Ava, "Motivation at time.  We have to draw from that, the good memories and times we shared."

According to the family, Ava spent the last weekend with her father.   He was scheduled to meet her mother at the Metrorail Station in Kendall to return the baby.

A parking lot security guard says he heard gunshots, and later, the three were found dead inside an SUV.  The SUV, with the bodies inside, was towed away and taken to the Medical Examiner's Office.
