Bronson Endorses McCollum In Governor's Race

Charles Bronson, Florida Agriculture Commissioner, has announced he'll support the candidacy of fellow Republican, Attorney General Bill McCollum, in Florida's 2010 governor's race.

Attorney General Bill McCollum has received a major endorsement in his run for the Governor's office.
Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson, who had toyed with running for governor until recently, said Tuesday he'll support McCollum's candidacy in Florida's 2010 governor's race.
The two central Florida politicians have known each other for decades and Bronson said it's important the Republican party unite in tight financial times to ensure it'll have the money it takes to be successful in keeping the governor's mansion.
Gov. Charlie Crist is forgoing re-election to seek the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Republican Mel Martinez, who is retiring after one term.
Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink is the only major Democrat to announce for the race.
