Sparks From Saw May Have 'Sparked' Brush Fire

MIAMI (CBS4) ― The extremely dry conditions are beginning to take a toll on some parts of South Florida.

Late Wednesday morning, a small brush fire ignited near a vacant two story colonial style home near of SW 117th Ave and SW 240th Street in Southwest Miami-Dade County. The home was slated for demolition.

Miami Dade Fire Rescue inspectors believe sparks from a power saw being used by a construction crew started the fire. Fire crews were able to contain the fire before it could spread to a townhouse complex a few blocks away.
