Happened At Village Of Merrick Park In Coral Gables

CORAL GABLES (CBS4) ―
Coral Gables police are searching for suspects who were involved in a burglary at the high-end Village of Merrick Park, and they have released surveillance pictures in hopes of catching some of the most brazen thieves we've seen in a while.
The thieves are first seen arriving at the outdoor mall, driving their cars on walkways through the mall. In one shot they are caught scoping out the loot inside the Gucci showroom. Moments later they rammed a car through the store's front door, and in a matter of seconds police estimate eight to ten thieves swept through the store, snatching $80,000 worth of handbags and wallets.
By the time police responded to the burglar alarm, the bad guys were pulling out in as many as five cars.
"We chased them down I-95 but unfortunately there was a car accident involved," said Sgt. Jeanette Frevola. "I'm not familiar with that but we lost them on I-95."
While this is a first for Merrick Park, these smash and grabs are becoming all too common.
"Very brazen and it's been going on around the county, different businesses," said Frevola.
Police hope you recognize the bad guys or their cars. These are descriptions of four of the cars: An older model Nissan Maxima with tinted windows, a silver or white 2003 Ford Expedition, a newer model black Nissan Maxima with black rims, and a green four-door Infiniti I30 with rear end damage from that case.
