Neighbor Finds Missing Homestead Police Dog

"Caine" Was Missing Since Sunday And Found By A Neighbor

HOMESTEAD (CBS4) ― A neighbor in Homestead found a missing police dog only 5 blocks from where the dog ran away over the weekend.

"Caine" was reunited with his human partner, undercover narcotics detective Robert Salinas on Tuesday. "He is like a part of my family; he's like one of my own children."

The dog went missing sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and a massive manhunt followed.

"He was wandering by himself…   wandering around the neighborhood.  And I picked him up because I didn't want him to get hit by a car," said Reynaldo Farinas, who reported the dog found.
