Mother Of Missing Girl Released From Jail

ORLANDO (CBS4) ― The Orlando mother of a missing three year old girl was released from jail early Tuesday afternoon. Earlier in the day Casey Anthony, 22, appeared before a judge to face the latest charges against her; check forgery, fraudulent use of personal identification and petty theft.

The judge set bond at $1,250 which Anthony promptly posted. Jail officials processed the release papers and Anthony was released around 2 p.m.

Anthony's daughter, Caylee, was reported missing in July, about a month after the girl was last seen. Investigators have said lab tests have shown that a body had been decomposing in Anthony's car, and Anthony is their only "person of interest" in the girl's disappearance.  Anthony has repeatedly said she doesn't know what happened to her daughter.  At a news conference her attorney, Jose Baez, said the police have only arrested his client on economic crimes to bring attention to the case.

This is the third time Anthony has been arrested in recent weeks. In previous arrests Anthony has been charged with child neglect, filing false information with law enforcement. She's also been charged with grand theft, three counts of fraudulent use of personal identification and three counts of check forgery in connection with checks that a friend of Anthony reported stolen.
