The CBS4 Hummer is ready to roll for another event in South Florida.
CBS
CBS4 is proud to partner with
Williamson Cadillac Hummer on a new project that will help hundreds of women.
It's called the
Clothes Out Suit Drive.
The goal is to fill a Hummer with one thousand gently worn suits.
CBS4 anchor Shannon Hori donated the very first suit on Wednesday. Once the drive wraps up, the suits will be donated to the
Women's Alliance in South Florida which provides professional attire and career skills training to low-income women and families.
Each year, The Women's Alliance helps more than 50,000 women and families in Miami and across the United States transition from welfare and poverty to overcome significant employment barriers and the "cost of making a good appearance."
Services provided ensure that low-income women and families have the professional attire and career skills coaching they need to make the right impression on job interviews and to succeed in the workplace. All the 35 member programs provide professional attire for women, while 80% also provide clothing options for men, teens or children.
The
Clothes Out Suit Drive runs from now until Saturday, October 4th.
Donations can be dropped off at
Williamson Cadillac Hummer at 7815 SW 104th Street in Miami.
