For a true taste of Tuscany travel to Mary Brickell Village, where Blu Pizza e Cuccina serves up authentic Italian delicacies. The first two restaurant ventures – Tratorria del Sole and Blu la Pizzeria – have been South Miami favorites for years and now Brickell is home to the latest addition.
"Authenticity is the key word in everything we do," co-owner Luca Delogu tells
CBS4's Lisa Petrillo. "We use almost 80 percent of our ingredients directly imported from Italy."
The signature pizza is made with fresh vegetables, cheeses and calamari.
The Blu Sandwich made with fresh pizza dough and lean prosciutto with melted mozzarella is a must try.
And talk about Cheap Eats specials -- Brunch for Lunch on Saturdays and Sundays starts at $6. Wednesdays all pastas are $9 and Tuesdays buy one pizza, get one free.
"It allows you to come back without the feeling and burden of spending a lot of money," Delogu said. The restaurant is located at 900 South Miami Avenue.
One must travel north to Dania Beach to enjoy Irish fare. Welcome to The Field Irish Pub and Eatery at 3280 of Griffin Road. This is a favorite among locals and it's known for its charming Irish design, its traditional Irish food, and gobs of good ole fashioned Irish hospitality.
"Everyone is welcome in an Irish pub," owner Hilary Joyall said.
The Field was voted as having the best Guinness in South Florida.
The Field is an eyeful of the Emerald Isle-- thousands of trinkets from the green countryside.
"Cead mille a falche means a hundred thousand welcomes -- and slainite is our Irish cheer!" Joyall said.
