Woman Kidnapped In Coral Springs Found In Tamarac
CORAL SPRINGS (CBS4) ―
Coral Springs police and Broward Sheriff investigators are trying to get to the bottom of a weekend kidnapping mystery.
Coral Springs police say they received a call Sunday around 5:40 p.m. from someone who said they saw a woman in her twenties being forced into a vehicle in the 11400 block of Lake View Drive. When police arrived they were unable to find the woman or the vehicle described in the call.
Approximately twenty minutes later the Broward Sheriff's Office received a call that a woman in her twenties was found suffering from a gunshot wound near the Colony West Country Club in the 10100 block of NW 67th Street in Tamarac.
Arriving deputies found the woman, identified as Nicole Brown from Lauderdale Lakes, who was then airlifted to Broward General Medical Center in critical condition.
Sheriff's investigators say the missing woman from Coral Springs and the injured woman found near the golf course are one in the same.
Coral Springs police have not released the woman's name or a possible motive for her kidnapping.
