1 Dead, 1 Airlifted After Krome Ave. Fiery Crash

SOUTH WEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) ― A head-on crash on southwest Miami-Dade leaves 1 person dead and another injured, said police.

The accident happened Monday along Krome Avenue around 6:30 p.m.

Miami-Dade fire rescue said a Nissan car and a pickup truck collided-head on. Seconds later, the pickup truck caught fire and the driver who has not been identified was killed, officials said.

Investigators said there were not any passengers in both of the vehicles.

The driver of the Nissan was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center and is listed in critical condition.
